Tree planting program

Green Living Tips Tree Planting Initiative

It’s nice to run this site via renewable energy and aim for carbon neutralrality … but we’d like to take things a step further with Green Living by becoming carbon negative… and help impoverished communities learn about caring for their local environment and sustainability at the same time!

Between 1980 and 1995, Africa saw more than 10 percent of its forests wiped out – that’s around 150 million acres. Over the last 50 years, 66% of the forests in the Philippines were destroyed – one of the highest deforestation rates in the world.

The Green Living Tips tree planting program assists communities throughout the world via Trees for the Future. Countries and regions receiving assistance including Honduras, Belize, Asia, India, the Philippines and Africa. For each visitor who signs up for our free newsletter, we’ll arrange for a tree to be planted on their behalf!

Pretty cool, huh? A free newsletter packed with tips and news (and by the way, we respect your details and will not spam you) and you’ll plant a tree in areas most threatened by deforestation and desertification. We’d love to see many thousands of trees planted by the end of this year, courtesy of Green Living Tips visitors!

While the planting of trees is not the silver bullet for our global warming woes, it certainly helps address the problem… and with a few seconds work, you can increase the role you play in battling climate change!

Help contribute to a carbon negative culture and help other countries desperately in need of trees – sign up for our green newsletter today by entering your email address in the box on the right hand menu!
