Mission

Green Living Tips seeks to provide earth friendly living guides and environmental news to those wanting to understand the environmental challenges we face and how we can address those challenges as individuals; through changes in lifestyle and consumption patterns. Feedback mechanisms on the site allow for visitors to ask questions about topics covered and to share their own tips with others - this user involvement aspect is an integral part of Green Living Tips' success.

Visitors to Green Living Tips tend to be consumers with families who are looking for ways to reduce their family's environmental impact. While based in Australia, Green Living Tips audience is primarily of USA origin. (some statistics below provided by Google Analytics)

Unique visitors (as at February 2010) - av. 5,000 unique visitors per day

On any given day, 12% of Green Living Tips.com traffic are repeat visitors.

Newsletter statistics

As of February 2010, the Green Living Tips newsletter goes out to over 19,000 double opt-in confirmed subscribers, i.e. those who have had to go through a confirmation process to be added to the list, with 15 - 50 new subscribers currently being added daily. The newsletter is very well-received, achieving an average unique open rate of at least 25% each issue.

Content statistics

As of June February 2010, Green Living Tips.com contains over 800 articles and blog posts, plus well over three thousand comments from visitors to the site.

Green Living Tips receives traffic from a variety of online resources, search engines and through word of mouth. Next to no paid promotion of the site is carried out - the traffic is organic.
