With carbon dioxide emissions snaring most of the media attention in relation to global warming, it's easy to forget that there's other greenhouse gases too - some with the potential to trap more heat and for longer than CO2. For example, Nitrogen trifluoride (NF3), a gas used in the production of LCD and plasma screens has 17,000 times the GWP (global warming potential) of CO2. Here's a look at some of the substances, where they come from and what we can do to minimize emissions.
