Well, my first blog post on Green Living Tips. I'm very pleased to have finally launched the site; it's been in planning for a long time and while I've opened the doors now, it's nowhere near what I originally envisioned in terms of content - I had planned on starting out with a lot more.

It was a case of launching the site now, or continue to be distracted by other things and never launching it. So here we are, no fanfare, no massive promotion or marketing (my background is in ecommerce and web marketing), let's just see how this goes :).

Now that Green Living Tips is live, it gives me the motivation to ensure it's updated regularly - in fact, I have 2 dozen tips and articles currently being worked on and I expect to update the site at least three times a week initially, then daily.

As I mention on my about page; this journey is a learning experience for me also. While I do have a degree of eco-awareness; there's a wealth of knowledge out there in regards to living an environmentally friendly lifestyle that I'm not aware of. I'd very much like to share what I learn with visitors to the site as I discover it - and equally as important; to also to learn from you :).

I warmly encourage you to submit environmental tips, news and product recommendations for inclusion; they would be greatly appreciated! I'd also love to see visitors build on the tips that are already published. I'm certainly more than happy to acknowledge your contribution on the site and include a link to your own web site or blog should you have one. If you have suggestions for new categories or anything else to do with the site; please contact me.

As for the blog section of this site, what you're reading now; well, it will be more of a place for me to report on environmental news and other interesting eco-snippets, plus a healthy dash of my own views on issues that affect our planet. Perhaps later on, I'll enable the features for other interested people to have their own blog on Green Living Tips or their own authors area for tips etc. If this is something you might be interested in participating in, please let me know.
